We all need to be taking care of ourselves from childhood to adulthood, and this includes both men and women too. 

Setting yourself up with a solid self care routine will greatly impact your week for the better. There are just so many things we know we should be doing for ourselves to live a better life and for some reason we tend to put those things on the wayside. So how about implementing some of these self care tips so that you never skip out on some ‘me time,’ which we all need to elevate our day - each and every day. 

Set Aside Some Solid Beard and Hair Grooming Time 

Shaving or looking after your beard is a ritual. It’s a sacred ritual that we can either rush through to get out of the house, or one that we can use to take care of ourselves and enjoy that time with ourselves. Take that time for yourself after a nice long bath or shower to give some love to your hair and beard. You’ll feel much more refreshed and recharged than if you just ran out of the house to jump right into the day’s business. 

Outdoor Activities / Fitness

How much time are you spending outdoors? And no, sitting in your car with the window open does not count. Try to get outside for at least 10 minutes a day, and pay attention to that fresh air passing through your lungs. Take a short (or long) walk, do some exercise outdoors, or maybe you’re ready to try out some yoga and meditation out there? Whatever self-care activity you choose to fill that space with, do it outdoors and enjoy that time for yourself to check in with yourself and how you’re doing. Spending time outdoors does directly impact your mental health for the better. 

Take a Bath with Essential Oils

There’s nothing quite like setting time aside for a nice long bath. Use your favorite essential oils in the mix and get a playlist going. Really we’d take just about any excuse to use those essential oils and relax in warm water. Shut out the world for a few minutes each week and treat yourself to this very much deserved time to relax and check in. 


Get Organized

Assign each day of the week for some area in your life that you will organize, from your car to your schedule. Keeping yourself organized will help declutter your physical and mental space, giving you the possibility to advance and grow in other areas of your life.
